Release Notes for invasimapr v0.1.0
🚀 First public release of invasimapr
This release introduces a novel framework to visualise trait dispersion and to assess species invasiveness and site invasibility using a trait–environment–interaction perspective. The package implements a structured pipeline to calculate invasion fitness based on intrinsic growth potential, competitive pressure from residents, and interaction strengths derived from trait overlap and environmental context.
✨ Features
- Trait-based competition modelling: Gower distances, ordination (PCoA), clustering, trait centrality, and dispersion metrics.
- Environment and resident context: integrate abiotic predictors and community composition into invasion fitness.
- Invasion fitness workflow: compute species-level invasiveness and site-level invasibility.
- Simulation and prediction: introduce hypothetical invaders, predict abundances, and explore biotic and abiotic filters.
- Visualisation utilities: invasion fitness matrices, invader rankings, site-level risk categories, clustering, and faceted maps.
- Conceptual workflow integration: designed to work alongside
