G-Tomo

G-Tomo exposes the lastest Gaia eDR3 extinction cubes (Lallement et al. 2022, Vergely et al. 2022). In particular it provides a tool to extract 1D profiles and 2D maps.
Software stack
- Dash/plotly : front-end web dashboard
- Python : back-end computations
- Docker : containerisation of code into an image
SDA Framework
See the EXPLORE docs.
Data
Input data files can be retrieved from Zenodo
For local deployment these can be added to 'data/appdata/'.
Create and test locally
$ git clone https://github.com/explore-platform/g-tomo.git
$ cd g-tomo/
$ docker-compose up --build

The G-Tomo scientific data application provides 3 main
services:
1) line-of-sight differential and cumulative extinction
profiles (1D)
2) integrated extinction for given astrophysical
coordinate+distance
