RegulonDB Ecocyc Extractor
This software has the function of extracting the information from the Ecocyc database and transforming it for use in RegulonDB with respect to the Multigenomic Model
Motivation
RegulonDB is undergoing a reengineering process, using open access technologies. Now instead of using Oracle as the database administrator, MongoDB will be used, access to the data will be through web services using GraphQL and Python for data processing.
RegulonDB is the primary database on transcriptional regulation in Escherichia coli K-12 containing knowledge manually curated from original scientific publications, complemented with high throughput datasets and comprehensive computational predictions. This software was made to extract all the necessary data from Ecocyc.
