Observational HR Diagrams (1914, 1993, 2022)

Inspired by Will Far's GW talk, here are some obserational HR diagrams for (a) 1914 original HR diagram, (b) 1993 HR diagram with HYG catlog data and (c) 2022 HR diagram with Gaia DR3 data .

The second version does not include the Yale Bright Star or Gliese catalogs in panel (b) <!-- #endregion -->
We get the 1914 data from:
Smith, Graeme H. "A Hertzsprung-Russell diagram for the nineteenth century." Astrophysics and Space > Science 366.12 (2021): 1-18.
https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10509-021-04024-3
We get the 1993 data from:
All stars in Hipparcos, Yale Bright Star, and Gliese catalogs (almost 120,000 stars)
http://www.astronexus.com/hyg
We get the 2022 data from:
Gaia Collaboration et al. (2016b): The Gaia mission (provides a description of the Gaia mission including spacecraft, instruments, survey and measurement principles, and operations); Gaia Collaboration et al. (2022j): Gaia DR3: Summary of the contents and survey properties
