New Features

The theme aesthetics have been updated to comply with the official InterVarsity Style Guide
In order to enforce a consistent feel for all websites using the InterVarsity theme (per the official style guide), all color and font settings have been removed from the Customizer

Upgraded license from GPLv2 to GPLv3
- Regardless of how much code I have changed, the InterVarsity Theme is still ultimately derived from Engrave Lite, a GPLv3 theme. Therefore, though I originally adopted a GPLv2 license for my theme, its effective license has always been GPLv3.
Bump InterVarsity Plugin version requirement to v3.0.0
Added more granular Customizer settings for font weights
- These replace the "Thin Primary Font" and "Bold Accent Font" settings; the new settings are not backwards-compatible, so please check those settings to ensure your fonts display as desired
Cyclone Slider slide captions are now styled by the theme
Style prefixes are now added for browsers with at least 0.1% usage (rather than last 3 versions only)
Allow child themes of the InterVarsity Theme to add or override content templates
- For example, defining content-post.php in your child theme will now be correctly recognized by the parent InterVarsity theme

Public contact details for small groups are now only loaded on-demand
- This prevents bots and crawlers from harvesting small group contact details
Removed automatic script deferring, as it is plugin-territory behavior
Fixed a bug where a small group start date would not display
- The SG start date should only display if the current date is on or after that start date. However, the original time comparison logic in the theme did not respect the site's chosen timezone, resulting in the start date hiding prematurely in some cases (because US times are relatively earlier than GMT+0 times)

Upgraded relevant theme and README URLs to HTTPS
- This ensures that the theme does not trigger mixed content warnings on chapter sites served over HTTPS
The theme now displays the site navigation in the site footer (previously, it was only displayed in the site header)

Bumped minimum WordPress version requirement to 4.5
The background color for menus and tooltips now matches the chosen page background color (as set in the Customizer)
Customizer improvements
- Implemented Selective Refresh (introduced in WordPress 4.5) for several theme feature toggles
- Added a {{year}} variable for use in the footer copyright text
- Typing {{year}} anywhere in the Copyright Text field (under Footer > Copyright Text in the Customizer) will expand to the current year on the live site
Icon additions/improvements
- Added three new content box icons to choose from: Chat, Heart, and Money
- Switched to using inline SVGs (instead of an icon font) for all site icons
- This should reduce page weight slightly, and may improve icon quality on some browsers
Accessibility improvements
- The standalone theme no longer receives any errors or alerts from the WAVE Web Accessibility Tool
Cyclone Slider 2 improvements
- Styling for the next/previous slide controls has been Added
- Add support for the Cyclone Slider 2 "Default" theme as well as the "Standard" theme
Fixed a bug where a user would be unable to change the site's primary and accent fonts
- This issue only occurred when an Google Fonts API key was not set
Fixed a bug where the "No Small Groups Found" search field icon would be grossly mispositioned
Upgraded all developer dependencies

Added an option for showing any number of blog posts at the end of a designated static front page
- The new setting is available in the Customizer under Front Page > General > Blog posts to show on static front page
- This allows you to show blog posts on the front page while still showing content boxes and a page slider or featured image
Added markup the site's theme color
- This changes the toolbar and status bar color on Chrome for Android (and the back button in IE) to the theme's chosen accent color
Removed "For more information" prefix from contact information listing on "single" small group pages
Only display contact information for a small group if a contact name is set for that group
Only display the Campus filter dropdown on small group Archive/Campus/Category pages if the dropdown contains more than one option
Corrected the container alignment for small groups on the Search page
Fixed a bug where a small group tile would not fit the width of the viewport for the compact layout
Fixed a bug where the designated Blog Page's Featured Image would not show
Fixed a bug where the header image's alt text was the same as the h1 text below it.
Fixed a bug where the footer image's alt text was empty
