Gas chromatography data analysis software

TERN 2.2.24 is the automated version of TERN and includes a new retention time shifting function based upon correlation optimized warping. This is a patch for release 2.2.23 (6-Mar-2025) to provide backwards compatibility with Igor 7+.

Note that version 2.2.22 was a beta-version of the current code with limited, off-line release. Any user of that version should upgrade to the current package.

TERN was first described in: Automated single-ion peak fitting as an efficient approach for analyzing complex chromatographic data. G. Isaacman-VanWertz, D.T. Sueper, K.C. Aikin, B.M. Lerner, J. B. This version of TERN requires Wavemetrics Igor Pro v7 or higher.

tern - Version 2.2.20, beta (Igor 9 compatible)

TERN 2.2.20 is the most recent BETA version of TERN, released 28-Apr-2022.

This is the first version of TERN that is compatible with Igor Pro v9.

Otherwise, this is a minor update with some bug fixes and other tweaks. For example, TOF data is now displayed in counts rather than counts / extraction.

As this is a beta release, there may be some stability issues with this version - please let us know and we'll try to address them with you directly. This version is unlikely to receive a patch, as a big update is coming soon with automated peak fitting and other exciting things.

tern - TERN, v 2.2.19b

TERN 2.2.19b is the current version of TERN chromatography analysis software, released in January 2022.

This version supports summing ion signals into a synthetic signal for peak fitting.

Do note that this version of TERN is NOT compatible with Igor Pro 9. Please use TERN 2.2.20 (Beta version) if you have upgraded to the latest version of Igor Pro.
