wta - Sentence-Centric Modeling of Writing

New components for automated sentence-centric modeling of writing

We extend THEtool with new components which enable automated sentence-centric modeling of writing:

1. Sentence-focused analysis of text transformations: identify scope of each text transformation and determine impacted sentence segments.
2. Bursts in transforming sequences: identify writing bursts within each transforming sequence.
3. Sentence production cycle: track the evolution of each sentence in the text from its initial draft through to its final version or deletion.

The new components allow the user to collect new insights into the writing process, such as a.o. understanding the structure of revisions with focus on the sentences and tracking the writer's revising behavior during sentence production.

wta - v1.1.0

A framework for automated extraction and analysis of sentences under production

The framework is a first attempt at a systematic analysis of sentences under production. We extend THEtool with new processing steps to allow for a more detailed and reliable investigation of sentence production process:

1. segmentation of text versions into text units and classification of text units based on their content,
   
2. improved accuracy of sentence histories generation due to the introduction of text units detection,
3. evaluation of the degree of sentencehood for all sentence versions.
