Wage Rates

Wage rates for U.S. workers that have not changed jobs within the year.

## Installation ```bash npm install @stdlib/datasets-frb-sf-wage-rigidity ``` Alternatively, - To load the package in a website via a `script` tag without installation and bundlers, use the [ES Module][es-module] available on the [`esm`][esm-url] branch (see [README][esm-readme]). - If you are using Deno, visit the [`deno`][deno-url] branch (see [README][deno-readme] for usage intructions). - For use in Observable, or in browser/node environments, use the [Universal Module Definition (UMD)][umd] build available on the [`umd`][umd-url] branch (see [README][umd-readme]). - To use as a general utility for the command line, install the corresponding [CLI package][cli-section] globally. The [branches.md][branches-url] file summarizes the available branches and displays a diagram illustrating their relationships. To view installation and usage instructions specific to each branch build, be sure to explicitly navigate to the respective README files on each branch, as linked to above.

## Usage ```javascript var wages = require( '@stdlib/datasets-frb-sf-wage-rigidity' ); ``` #### wages() Returns [wage rates][@frbsf:wagerigidity] for U.S. workers that have not changed jobs within the year. ```javascript var data = wages(); // returns [{...},{...},...] ``` Each `array` element has the following fields: - **date**: collection date (month/day/year; e.g., `01/01/1980`). - **all_workers**: wage rates for hourly and non-hourly workers. - **hourly_workers**: wage rates for hourly workers. - **non_hourly_workers**: wage rates for non-hourly workers. - **less_than_high_school**: wage rates for workers with less than a high school education. - **high_school**: wage rates for workers with a high school education. - **some_college**: wage rates for workers with some college education. - **college**: wage rates for workers with a college education. - **construction**: wage rates for workers in the construction industry. - **finance**: wage rates for workers in the finance industry. - **manufacturing**: wage rates for workers in the manufacturing industry.

## Installation To use as a general utility, install the CLI package globally ```bash npm install -g @stdlib/datasets-frb-sf-wage-rigidity-cli ```

### Usage ```text Usage: frb-sf-wage-rigidity [options] Options: -h, --help Print this message. -V, --version Print the package version. --format fmt Output format: 'csv' or 'ndjson'. ```

### Notes - The CLI supports two output formats: comma-separated values ([CSV][csv]) and newline-delimited JSON ([NDJSON][ndjson]). The default output format is [CSV][csv].

The data files (databases) are licensed under an Open Data Commons Attribution 1.0 License and their contents are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License. The original dataset is attributed to the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. The software is licensed under Apache License, Version 2.0.
