The Kalpasthāna has been critically edited and translated. There remains some tidying and checking to do, and some writing in the book introduction and adhyāya introductions.

sushrutaproject - 4.3

Completed meta-editing of the Sūtrasthāna. Meta-editing includes checking and correcting the xml:id tags so that like passages are correctly identified across all files. Dividing and joining passages as necessary, e.g., when verses or half-verses are not in the same sequence. Some word-division was also added or corrected. Some simplification of the apparatus through increased accuracy was done, but this was not a priority. The main task was to make sure the adhyāyas and text passages are correctly identified and sequenced.

sushrutaproject - November 2024

This is the first release following the end of the four-year Insight Grant by the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanites Research Council, grant no. 435-2020-1077. Dates: 1 April 2020 - 31 March 2024. It can be viewed as a final major project release. Future releases will represent project on the same scholarly topic, not funded by the SSHRC.

sushrutaproject - Full MS transcriptsions, with split sūtrasthāna files

Saktumiva was throwing memory problems when collating the whole sūtrasthāna in one task, so I've split each of the sūtrasthāna files in half.

sushrutaproject - Completed transcription of Nidānasthāna from MS H

MS Kathmandu NAK 5-333 (H) contains chapters that are physically missing from MS Kathmandu KL 699 (K). We are now transcribing those chapters in order to have a full text of the Suśrutasaṃhitā based on the Nepalese version. Nidānasthāna is complete; Śārīrasthāna next.
