Code respository for Squire et al. (2021)†
†Squire, D.T., Richardson, D., Risbey, J.S. et al. Likelihood of unprecedented drought and fire weather during Australia’s 2019 megafires. npj Clim Atmos Sci 4, 64 (2021). https://doi.org/10.1038/s41612-021-00220-8
This repo contains all the code used to perform the analysis and generate the figures in the above paper. The analysis heavily uses the CSIRO CAFE-f6 decadal climate forecast dataset, which is documented here. Notebooks are numbered according to the order in which they should be run.
Figures are generated in the following notebooks:
- Fig 1: 0_get_region.ipynb
- Fig 2: 3_historical_precedent.ipynb
- Fig 3: 4_fidelity_testing.ipynb
- Fig 4: 4_fidelity_testing.ipynb
- Fig 5: 5_likelihoods.ipynb
- Fig 6: 6_conditioning.ipynb
- Fig 7: 6_conditioning.ipynb
- Fig 8: 5_likelihoods.ipynb
- Fig S1: 3_historical_precedent.ipynb
- Fig S2: 4_fidelity_testing.ipynb
- Fig S3: 4_fidelity_testing.ipynb
