sandi - SANDI v0.1.8

This is the second release of the software. This is an improved version of the software, but it could still be unstable and may contain errors, bugs or malfunctions as some features are still under development. Compared to the alpha release, this version does not include an executable file as it is now released as a PyPI package.

Main features:

• Single image processing for PCam images with five image enhancement options;
• Batch processing for processing multiple PCam images at once; Please note that these two features have only been tested for images from the PCam3 developed by Herbst Environmental Science, images from a stereomicroscope and from a FlocCAM at the moment.
• Gravel image processing (under development). This page is still under development and may present issues, especially at the image import. If the cursor to trace the scale doesn't appear, we recommend restarting the software.

Main changes compared to the alpha version: * Added: Added progress bar in batch processing page. Added option to erode particles by selected number of pixels in batch and single image processing pages. Added option to fill holes inside particles in batch and single image processing pages. Added Feret diameter and particle color detection in batch and single image processing pages. * Changed: Updated image canvas in single image processing page to center smaller images. Improved vignettes layout to make it adjust automatically to particle size, and to make sure it retains the colors of the originally imported image. Adjusted the requirements file. * Removed Removed possibility to add image height and width in um manually, but is instead automatically calculated from the pixel size.

Note: the software has only been tested on Windows 10. There might be layout issues when using SANDI on other systems.

sandi - SANDI v1.0.0-alpha
