MEGV-FR-MSS-18-TEST
This repo contains the transcription of 18th c. French manuscripts, from a composite corpus : correspondances of plantations owners in French Caribbean (T, Archives privées, Archives Nationales, Paris), individual soldiers' and colonial officers' files, court cases from the holdings of the Secrétariat de la Marine (COL E, Personnel colonial ancien, Archives nationales d'Outre Mer, Aix-en-Provence).
Content
Data comes from the project entitled "Masculinités esclavagistes : genre et violence dans la Caraïbe française (XVIIIème siècle)", led by Marie Houllemare, at Geneva University (Switzerland), financed by SNSF. Transcriptions are made by Marion Philip with the support of Simon Gabay, with eScriptorium.
