Open marine biodiversity data platform aiming to protect oceans by accelerating research and conservation.

Note: wildflow is in early development.

Empower biodiversity researchers with modern AI infrastructure!

In today's landscape, biodiversity researchers must not only excel in understanding nature and addressing the biodiversity crisis, but they also need to master big data management. This includes building data pipelines, aggregating data from various sources, cleaning data, handling extensive big data operations and deploying novel models for multi-model data formats.

What is wildflow?

It's an open platform that specializes in multi-modal biodiversity data (eDNA, bioacoustics, computer vision, geospatial, manual observations / other ways of measuring biosphere) and uses AI to e.g. forecast coral bleaching events, predict harmful algae blooms, create marine protected areas, assess the impact of offshore wind farms, run biodiversity assessments for corporates and more.

Our current focus on time series geospatial biodiversity data (observations of animals) and envirounmental data. Our goal is to enable in-depth study of marine population dynamics (also ecological niche modelling and other types of analysis) and provide essential building blocks to work on marine biodiversity applications.

Long-term focus:

  • foundation models for biodiversity,
  • building a "digital nervous system for the planet".

Quick Links

How do I use it?

It's in early development. We have a prototype where you can upload e.g. your CSV files (e.g. shark trail) and join it with envirounmental data (e.g. water salitidy). We're working on making it globally available.

Contributing & Support

We have an open community Discord and WhatsApp. Come and say hello and let us know if you have any questions or need any help getting things running.

We welcome contributions to this mission of ocean conservation. Join us! πŸ€—

It's also super helpful if you leave the project a star here at the top of the page☝️
